Cheap boom pole/stand for china balls?

Does anyone know of any cheap boom stands, or something that can be used to hang a chinal ball from? what do you guys use?

I use a c-stand with the chinaball fixture gripped in the grip arm. If you need more reach you can put a maffer clamp on the top of the stand and grip a boom pole in that.

Thanks... I'm having trouble find a maffer clamp on the net (what one looks like, or where to get one from).... can you point me in the right direction?
