I was just perusing ebay and came across a seller posting what looks like several homemade adapters for sale. All price around $149. If you go to eBay and search "35mm Adapter" you'll see them.

Anyone have any idea what these are and who made? I've been contemplating picking one up to play with, and at that price it may be worth a shot.

All the best,

Michael

Interesting. My spidey sense is tingling. It may well be a real auction. They look like the homemade ones from the RedRock DIY plans. There is a link on an earlier auction for the same item to an HD raw footage clip that looks decent. Some concerns though about the auction - he seems to have 8 of them for auction right now and has already sold 12 others in the last 2 months. (3 to the same guy on the same day..hmmm suspicious) He says it takes 4 weeks for delivery, which may mean someone is building them as he gets orders. Or.. the 4 weeks for delivery would buy him enough time to disappear. He takes PayPal..not asking for money orders which is good. Dunno, he seems to be answering questions posed by buyers...could be real... Shoot him some questions.. 150 bones is a good deal for the homemade M2 design, even if it gives subpar results. I ordered a letus extreme, so I wont be bidding. Someone go for it

Be very careful not to rely on PayPal as a safety net. I am currently in a PayPal dispute and it is nothing but a hassle.

You usually get what you pay for. It indeed looks like it is a cheap build of the RedRock DIY plans. These are using proven working design and it is a $750 discount off a real M2..but if it is a paperweight when it arrives you are out $150.
