'DVXUser' -I have opened it in iChat.. so anyone with AIM,iChat, Adium or any AOL Chat program can join up and exchange wicked cool phrases like these:

"Hey"
"Whats up"
"cool"
"not much"

and the classic..

"Your Mom"

JARRED....why don't you add a php / Java Chat room to DVX User. That would absolutely OWN and you'll be everyone's hero for the next 100 years. They are very easy to install and wouldn't take alot of maintenance. If you would need help implementing it, I can offer some assistance. I just think it would be great for everyone to talk LIVE as well as still be able to post their usual stuff. What do you all think? ~reservoir~

That would lead to a lot of people missing out on valuable information in those live chats.
 
I have a TeamSpeak server running - at IP 62.75.220.93:8767 - for me and friends to chill and whatnot - you can find our channel at the bottom: usually the names are the following:
Monte
Chong
VoL
Jackass

Hm...I went to the AIM chat, but nobody was there. Then again, you started it about three hours ago.
 
The problem with a chat room is that it isn't archivable. I like the message board system, everyone gets their chance at knowledge, critique, 2 cents and making fun of other members.
 
yeah thats what the cafe is for. .chit chat and the good thing is that people miss out afterwards.

I did install a Java chat awhile back.. and it buckled the server, it has a hard enough time already just running the boards.
 
Maybe we can get together and start our own rogue chat server or something? I can start a DVX user IRC channel? If not....it was a "neat" idea anyway!!

my suggestion was just to stop in and chat a bit.. not neccessarily about anything DVX related... but with DVXUser peeps...

but the idea has faltered it seems... owell... it was worth a shot.. I still leave the chat room open every time I go on iChat... so who knows..
 
Why don't you guys just use AIM or ICQ? Some of the DVX memebers here have AIM and ICQ. Just get their screen names and chat with them. No need for a third party Java stuff.

One on One chat is lame. We need a room so everyone can join in simultaneously!! I'm gonna probably get a php or java chat server started on my own host and see if anyone joins in. Hopefully it won't be too hard!! ~reservoir~
