Charges for rendering

Currently I charge a half day or a full day for editing. (Since I generally do most of my work pre-production through post, I don't charge hourly) However I am wondering what to charge while my computer is rendering.

Here is the situation:

I am creating an hour long DVD curriculum. I edited in HDV so render times are much longer than non-GOP codecs. I normally get everything set up for a render, hit the button, leave for the night and by the morning everything is (usually) completed.

So how would you charge for this?

Perhaps just charge for the gear and not the personnel costs?

Id agree, you may not be present but your equipment is running so you have intitial cost, wear and tear, plus return on investment and the fact its using electricity and not doing other tasks that could be generating money.
