I'm currently filming in the UK for a Channel 4 documentary called "The Life OF Rhyme" - it's an epic hour long doc celebrating UK MC's and MC culture. Produced by Jamie D'Cruz, who brought you "Exit Through The Gift Shop" and "One Born Every Minute", this is an awesome project to be working on and i'm very proud to be DOP on it.
We're filming the whole thing on the incredible Redrock M3, and i'm totally blown away with it! Having spent most of the last 2 years shooting 5D / 7D, it's amazing to get my hands back on a real video camera again, yet be able to keep that cinematic look that i now wouldn't do without - and that's exactly what the M3 is all about in my opinion! Of all the DOF adaptors i've used in the past, the M3 is by far the best - period. I've been using it with LiveLens mount for Canon EF lenses, and the results i've had are awesome!
Anyway, we've had a crazy schedule and i'm not allowed to post anything until we've TX'd in August (date TBA), but i've snuck a couple of little extra clips i've shot for you to see. They don't relate to the film at all, in anyway, but it shows the look you get from the M3. Note that the footage is totally untampered with, and is as it came out of the camera. No correction or anything.
If you don't know about the M3, i hope this was useful. Literally can't recommend it enough!
