Changing time stretch over time?

I want to slow a sequnce down (time stretch) over a period of time... there are no layer properties for this property.

I'm guessing I will have to use expressions to control this but... how?  Thanks!

I'm guessing you've played around with Time Remap already?

ok the time re-mapper is a piece of junk! ive been trying for an hour and i can't get it to do what i want. it keeps playing the clip in reverse then forward. how do i do this with expressions instead

ugh! i finally got it after 2 hours of trying! i wish you could draw on the timeline like in some audio mixing programs, that would be WAY easier than dealing with those bezier curves! ridiculous lol
