Challenging a TV Company

I'll keep it annomonys as possible. Though I recently watched a Christmas Special of a tv series. I didn't really like it and I think the tv series is in a desperate need for a change of director, producer and writer.

I want to challenge the television company who make it, to see if i can come up with something better, i'll explain:

Season 4 starts in the new year, and with it so does 14 episodes running through till May 08. Then they have between May - December to design and create a fantastic christmas episode as a continuestion frmo the lasst episode of the series. I want to challenge the company, to see if i can come up with a better episode within that timeline for at least Half the budget.

There average episode contains 2 million in funds. I'd be making it out of my back pocket. This is all just a concept at the moment, wanted your guys feedback. I was thinking of asking, if i do succeed and pull it off in time would they put a trailer to it on there christmas episode?

I'm not sure.. but I truly 100% believe i can pull something off, better than what they do, for cheaper. Let me know your thoughts, slagging off remarks welcome.

I have a hard time believing they'll take an offer that has no gain for them, and could potentially make them look bad by comparison.

Sounds like the obvious, i must admit your right. Maybe I should just keep it as a fan-episode that I should present it to them and the general audience? Just clearly stating the figures and points about what we did and leave the viewers to draw there natural conclusion?
