chainsaw returns

[Lake Films]

Saw the texas chainsaw massacre, the beginning today. Wow, very violent & bloody, I'd say it could be the bloodiest of the bunch. All in all it looks great and is decent. I wonder just how much further they will push the envelope.....Let's leave more to the imagination.

[DarkMatter]

All gorror and no horror. A training film for serial killers, shameful.

[Policar]

The producers and director of this film screened it pre-release at my school and I have to admit I wasn't a huge fan, though I thought it was very well shot for its tiny budget and they were pretty cool to talk with. (They said the digital intermediate really helped both with continuity errors in lighting and in getting a cool style.) They also said that they had to cut a ton of it to get an R, so I figure violence will escalate at about the same rate the MPAA allows more of it into an R rating, which seems to be a pretty fast rate.
