CGI question

This is related to Tina's Animation thread, but I don't want to take over her topic, so here goes:

I have video of a bouncing yellow circle, and I'd like to do a simple animation with two dots for eyes and a moving mouth. Are there any freebie tools out there that can do simple cell animation (hah!) or a trick that can be used in something like After Effects to get the job done?

The video is about 3 minutes long, so I'm trying to come up with a quick-n-dirty method of getting a face on that circle.

Thanks!

Re: CGI question

Yeah, I bought it last night after reading Taylor's post.

It's only $99... a bargain in the world of video production.

Re: CGI question

Glade you guys like it...can do some great work with it.
Way easier than US Animation or Toonboom.

Best of luck...don't forget to post your results ;D

Hey and i think MOHO has a demo...

Re: CGI question

Taylor, do you have anything you've done in Moho that you could show me?

I had seen ToonBoom's website before, but Moho seemed so user-friendly and was a great price for what it can do.

Realistically, I won't have time to get in-depth with it for another month... too many edit and shooting projects.

I look forward to learning it and I've already played with the first two tutorials... it's really cool.

Thanks for the link!

Re: CGI question

Ok besides price, what would be best Taylor, I am having to put up quite a 2d animation feat and was going with flash & after effects? Moho?

Tough call Theos...I will need more detail onyour project.

Terry,
I equally swamped andwill not benear my material for some time....but have seen alot of quite complex work done with this.

Re: CGI question

Hey Theos...it looks good. Just a personal thing...keep the character stylization the same...ie outside line the same weight or thickness.
My advice would be to download the demo and give the app a try for say and hour...good luck!!! ;D

Re: CGI question

Aw right the croc in googles . . . he is an added sponsor thingie, he is not part of the cast only a cover croc! But I will keep the fish line weight the same! Tx
