Dear Morgan,

The current Century Widescreen LCD adapter is for the Sony PD150/170, Canon GL1/2 and their consumer variants. The larger LCD screen of the Panasonic DVX100 requires a larger unit that is currently in production and should be available before the end of the year.

Thanks for the info. I can't find the Widescreen EYEPIECE on the centuryoptics website. Do you have a direct link?
Does this item go over the viewfinder on the DVX100a?

I would be VERY interested in this because I'm going to be shooting soon and would like some way to compose my shots without seeing the image "squished" when I'm using the anamorphic lens.

Also, does centry optics make a 16:9 anamoprphic lens for the DVX100a? Or is it only the Panasonic adapter that's available?

i have the 16:9 century optics eyepiece adaptor for the dvx and its great!

the quality is superb and it fits amazingly well.

the only issue is very minor, if you used to tilt the eyepiece upward be advised that the added weight will make the eyepiece tip downward rather rapidly.

one nice thing is that it works both with SQUEEZE mode and the panasonic anamorphic lens.

btw, so far i've only had my anamorphic lens 24 hours but i'm kind of wishing i was shooting with just SQUEEZE mode and the century optics viewfinder!

Cool. I will definatley be getting the widescreen eyepiece apdapter.

so are there any other manufacturers, besides panasonic, that make a 16:9 anamorphic lens for the DVX100a?

Century is making one right now. It promises to be a better lens, but 2.5x the price.
