Century Optics LCD Hood

Hi, I was wondering anyone here use the Century Optics LCD Hood? How is its effectiveness? Can you really see the LCD clearly in bright sunlight? does its interfere with the button on the side of the DVX? Thinking of getting one after a shoot in bright daylight which some footages show some imperfection that i could not see during the shoot. thanks for any feedback.
 
I have checkout the HOODMAN and Petrol but they both use velcro i though maybe the century optic are more sturdy.
