Does anybody out there know wich is the sharpest? I don't really care abbout zoom through or price. Just which is the highest quality. I'm leaning toward the .6 century because it's wider and the cheapest. Any other opinions? Thanks.

I'm in the same boat as you. Majority of my shots are interior and need to be wide without a "fisheye" look.

This topic has been covered from a standard comparison standpoint, although not specific to your questions.

we used a .7 century - check the sig for links to see what it looks like.

Those stills look good. Now we need some stills with the .6 fully out...

Thanks!

you da man Barry! I read through a bunch of other threads and saw some photos and good info, but this is exactly what I was after!

That was the original fisheye, the .5x. I guess it just doesn't vignette. They now have the "super fisheye", which is .3x, which probably does vignette, but apparently the .5x doesn't.

My impression is that the .7 is sharper in the center but worse in the corners. The .6 is a touch softer overall but more even from side to side. I think I perfer it's look. However the .7 seems just as wide as the .6.
What do you guys think?

Is there any similar test images with Century optics DIOPTERS?

Re: Century optic .6 Vs .7 Vs Pany LW728G

.7 was much sharper in the center but soften on the side the .6 was more consistant throughout. I would think if money was not an issue get the .7 at least have the option to zoom if needed

Re: Century optic .6 Vs .7 Vs Pany LW728G

I would agree, if money was no object get the .7 (just recognizing that it is a lot bigger and heavier, if that factors in to the decision).
