Century .7X W/A & Squeeze VS. Anamorphic Adapt

This might sound stupid...

I've owned the Anamorphic adaptor twice now and I know it gives you a 30-33% wider image + an anamorphically squeezed image for the DVX to unsqueeze in post for a 16:9 image.

Is there a HUGE difference between that mentioned above and a Century Optics 0.7X wide angle lens with DVX in-camera squeeze? I know this particular lens also gives you a 30% wider image capture ability and with the DVX in-cam squeeze, it will also appear squeezed and unsqueezed in post for a 16:9 image.

What are the major differences? One anamorphic was stolen and the other I traded with someone. The reason why I ask is because I am receiving a Chrosziel mattebox soon which wasn't originally intended for a DVX and has a circular opening instead of a rectangular one for the anamorphic lens. I'm going to try to see if I can buy an adaptor plate/ring to fit the wide angle convertor (which I need to buy when I get the money) but I'm curious to see if the two above options are comparable in quality or wide capture capabilities...

That's the mattebox system I'm getting and I hope a wide angle convertor will fit this with an appropriate adaptor. If I use the camera squeeze mode, I may need to purchase the new Century LCD widescreen adaptor as well. Is the squeeze mode and letterbox mode basically the same thing? Same resolution right, with 33% of the image being chopped off in both modes?

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks a lot!

Well, the difference is that with the anamorphic adapter you have a 16:9 camera capable of resolving 480 lines of resolution, vs. the .7/squeeze which gives you a 16:9 camera capable of resolving 360 lines of resolution.
