celluloid

I've been reading on celluloid a bit, apparently our own local rock star, chick magnet and Vegas guru, David Jimerson invented it. Anyway, is it a good easy software to add letterboxing to 4/3 material? or for mixing 16/9 and 4/3?

That's not entirely true; I'm not a programmer, so the software shell itself was done by VASST (chiefly, John Rofrano).

But yes, it's an easy way to crop 4:3 material to 16:9, convert 60i to 24p, and apply various looks to your footage. Pretty much a one-step process.

I like this celluloid!

Coupla questions.
I'm mixing a bunch of 16/9 and 4/3 footage. What will happen to the 16/9 when celluloid tries to convert it to 16/9? It's already 16/9 so what happens? Does the earth blow up or something?

I have some 60i and 30p in the same timeline, should I convert the 60i to 30p in celluloid? What advantage will that give me?

How do you remove the celluloid filter from a particular clip? I opened celluloid and deselected/unchecked the functions and tried to render a clean version and it seemed the filter was still there....
