Cell Service

Robbie Comeau

Como's back. back again
I'm going away and staying at a cottage for a couple of nights.

I don't get service in the cottage I'm staying in.

I'm bringing my Mom's iPhone.

Any tips so I can get service, or any way I can do this?

I don't guarantee I'll find some answers, but I thought I'd try.

Thanks,

Robbie

Here's a tip.... if you can't do without a phone for 2 days...don't go!

I'm sure you can drive around a bit and find something if you need to make a call or check for people who called you or whatever else. Or get a tin foil hat.

Wrap your entire body in tin foil, stand on the roof of the cottage and touch a metal coat hanger to the iPhone charger port and the foil at the top of your head all while doing the can-can and singing "I look stupid because I'm too dependent on technology." Then come home, write the beginning of a screenplay about it and send it to me only to realize it was my awful advice that made you look like an idiot in the first place, at which point I will tell you "I'm not the one who actually followed through..."

That's all I've got.

I once installed a local area communications network for my team while working at an event made primarily of paper cups attached with string. I'm sure you could use this to hardwire a long distance target with enough cardboard repeaters.
