CCD Color Balance?

At what color temperature are CCD's usually set so that the levels are 0,0,0 for the red, green, and blue channels, 3200K or 3400K?

Re: CCD Color Balance?

hmmm. That's a good question. All I know is that there is significantly less noise when you use an 85b filter when shooting daylight. not sure how you would set the camera to 3400k specifically though.

Re: CCD Color Balance?

as 3200 is the standard, I'd expect 3200, but I don't know if the CCD has a specific "native" color temperature in terms of even voltage output.

Re: CCD Color Balance?

Surely it would be better to know what the color temp was at 235,235,235 ( White) and one would assume it was as per camera setting and controlled by that setting ( or the manual W/balance).

At 0,0,0 the image is black and refers to null.
