I'm working on a short and trying to achieve a 'cold' look, but am having trouble getting this without really messing with the skin tones. I was wondering what is the best way of doing this without comprimising the skin tones too much.

I have Premier and AE.

Thanks,

Heres a pic of the original footage

(For some reason the black matte turned transparent, but I have since fixed that)

It looks fairly cool to me...anything you can reference fro the look. Also, is it just the skintones you want leave alone, or the whole actress?

what mood or look are you going for because i know you don't want to compromise the skin tones. going the "blue" route will do that though...i see you're doing this in post. you might consider next time doing screen tests using different cards to white balannce to. if you don't know what i mean you go to your hardware store and get "gray" cards in various light colors blue, red, yellow and white balance to those and thereby creating different looks in camera which turns out way better than doing so in post. granted you're stuck with that shot, but that's why you do tests.

I agree that it already looks pretty cold.

How about a bleah bypass filter in Magic Bullet?

How does this look? I added a bleach bypass filter in MB and in Vegas I added a tinge of blue to the chrominance in the secondary color corrector.

Sorry 'bout the watermark, don't have the real version of MB on this comp. yet.
