I'm been trying to get a certain effect and not getting workable results.
The final shot I want is two characters siting in silhouette against a window at a cafe. I want the sunlight coming through to have a slight green "matrix" look to it, but a lamp on the table (with a shade on it) to be yellow.
I'm on a student's budget so gelling the windows green is out. My only idea was WB the camera to tungsten, gelling the lamp yellow, and then trying to take the CTB sunlight (since the camera is WB tungsten) and making that color only shift toward green without affecting the yellow light (as it will be bright enough keep the skintones yellow-ish instead of greenish in the final shot).
In After Effects all I can find a way to isolate the blue well. I always bled into the yellow lighting unevenly and it never looks natural.
Any suggestions?
