Cavision vs. Century Optics - better?

Both Cavision and Century make wide angle adapters for the DVX (.6 I believe).

Are these adapters and their glass equal in quality or is one prefered over the other?

Thanks for input on this! :)

Century Optics I am sure would be far better! I like Cavision products, but they are adequate quality for most low budget stuff. The pro's probably wouldn't touch the cavision optics.

century without a doubt.. i have tried both and the cavision is nice but has a ton of distortion.

Re: Cavision vs. Century Optics - better?

Looking at adding wide angle adapter to DVX for fly-throughs on new and resale homes. Not glamorous,---but niether's poverty.
Century Optics seems the logical choice.
How does that adpater attach to the lense that came with camera? Do I need to buy a bayonet ring or something?
Also, best place to buy? Big dif in price Canada vs state-side.
But wonder if any further ahead after tax, duty etc etc.
Thanks Thanks

Peabody,
I used the Century .7x for a ton of real estate stuff. I like it because you can leave it on all the time if you are in a hurry (i.e. zoom through). The "bayonet" mount attaches to same "thread" as the factory lens hood. It just twists right on. Century makes beautiful glass ! Very high quality. Definitely a "get what you pay for" type situation.

I just wish they made an anamorphic :(

I would suggest getting the .7 Century WA over the .6 to avoid vignette issues.

There's no vignette issue with the .6 if you don't try and zoom through it is there?
