Catpure/output card 1080p 30fps

I bought a BlackMagic Intensity pro, and it sucked for what I needed. The biggest issue (one of many) is that it doesn't support live playback of 1080P 30fps.

What cards, other than a BlackMagic card, won't run me an arm and a leg, and can play back 30p.

Thanks folks.

According to Blackmagic's site the Intensity Pro does not do 1080p30 but the the Intensity Shuttle does. The Shuttle is USB 3.0 though. Blackmagic's Decklink cards will do 1080p 29.97 and 30.00 but they are SDI only so if you need to output analog or HDMI connections you'll need to buy a converter (which BM also sells).

Is 30p always carried as PsF in a 60i stream, Shane? I ask because I've seen hardware venders, like Blackmagic, differentiating between 30p and 30psf.

Technically it is correct that the Blackmagic Intensity Pro card does not support playback of 1080p and 720p at 30p (29.97). I own the card, have spoken with their technical support on the phone and they said they would put it in the requests for future updates.

I use the card set for 720x486 output to a Sony Trinitron for color grading. It works fine that way for what I need. They seemed quite surprised at the 30p request. I would be interested to hear from other users who have it connected to an HDTV, and what settings are successful. Might move from CRT to panel for color work in the future.

Along with the blackmagic not being able to do 30p, it crashed FCP everytime I imported a still picture.....EVERYTIME.
I uninstalled it put it back in the box.
I looked at some other cards that can support 30p, and the cost difference is huge, so I don't need the features that badly right now.
