catDV with FCP 6 problem

hello.

i am trying to organize my footage and want to see the record date and time. as far as i have been informed, FCP cannot do this, so i tried catDV recommended by CaptMench

i have imported my captured mov-files into catDV. curiously enough, still i cant see any record date... only the date i logged the clip into the mac...

anyone who knows what i am doing wrong?

by the way: if anyone knows; how can i get the record date from mp3 files and wav files?
i want to sync indipendent records with my film... getting this info would make everything much easier!!

Odd... Unfortunately I don't have v6. Are you saying the RECORDED date doesn't show up in CatDV at all? Do you get a captured date?

well, i get a source date, which is probably the date i captured the tape, and i get the imported to catDv date...
basically i get everything i can obtain without catDV...

is there some setting on the xh a1 i need to use... anyway, if i play back the tape in the xh a1, i can see the captured date...

something in preferences i have missed?

i still have the problem of not getting record date and exposure data into catDV... can anyone please help.

is there really not anyone else who find this data very useful?
