Casino Royale

I think I need to watch Layer Cake, because I'm just not feeling the Bond Charm from Craig so far. The Cool? Yes. The Tough. Yes. But I'm not seeing the Charm. Owen has it. But if Owen won't do it, then I'm willing to give this guy a chance.

Granted I haven't seen too much of his stuff. Are there any other films with this guy I can check out? Suggestions?
 
I've seen Tomb Raider, Road to Perdition, Jacket, Sylvia and The Mother with him... And while I do think he is a good actor and has lots more range than a role like Bond would require, I just don't see him as 007. He doesn't look the part IMHO
It's kinda like Hanks in Da Vinci Code. He surely can play anyone and anything convincing, but he's nothing like Langdon I pictured (and apparently many others too).

Perhaps all I need is a picture of Craig with dyed hair wearing tuxedo to let go of the doubts.
 
you're right- he doesn't have the look- but i think he definetly has the attitude and expressions, and i think he'll need to perfect that for bond fans to accept him

Eh....im willing to see him in a movie. But i noticed something...didnt all the actors for bond come from the UK?


..my opinion..i think Goran Visnjic would be the better choice of Bond..

Eh. Not thrilled and not horrified either.

I just hope they don't cast Halle Berry again. If only she just sat there in the bikini and didn't actually have to speak or try to act. oh well.

She was great in Die Another Day' finally a Bond girl who can actually act! Are you high on something? Do you remember the Oscar she won or...........................?

Halle Berry went to the J Low school of acting and got a certificate.

I can't honestly say she didn't deserve the Oscar that year; did you even see Monsters Ball? Honestly; looking back at all of the Best Actor's win's; who am I to say that actor(tress) did not deserve it?

How can you put Halle in the same boat as J LO? Are you serious?
 
Yeah, I really don't get the whole Halle Berry thing. Don't get me wrong I thought she was GOOD in Monster's Ball but not great. It was HER best performance. She had a great co star to work with there and I'm sure that made it a lot easier.

I look at a lot of what she's done since and it really is awful...the movies and her performances...Gothika, Catwoman... I just don't see "it". She's awfully purty to look at, but that's about it for me. And she is the worst X Man period. Storm SHOULD have been a kick ass character. She's just awful in the X Men movies.

And to close the deal for me, anyone that Oprah Winfrey GUSHES over...well.... just sucks in my book!

I too wonder what she is doing since her Oscar; Die Another Day, X2, Gothika, Catwoman, Robots, X-Men 3.....................................

I like a few of those films but one would think she would search out more demanding roles; i.e. Monsters Ball and Dorothy Dandridge.

No respect for the craft some of these actors. I don;t mind an actor making a Hollywood flick to make some cash in-between more serious work, but come on.
