Cases for everything...and autos to put them in.

O.K. i've seen post for camera bags, etc. But what are you guys with lots of gear lugging it around in automobile wise. I am having somewhat of a dilemna as I thought about a truck like a ram1500 or somethin but then i worry about the security of the bed even with a hard tonneau. But I figure i'll be toting a generator, light kit, c-stands (clamps/flags/etc.) But the vehicle needs to be fly too, because it'll be our calling card. What are you guys transporting in?

1 ton chevy express extended van. Loaded.
I found that it is just 7' high and a lot of parking garages are 7' so I just make it. Otherwise I'd buy a high cube truck.

Taubkin, its not just the DVX...its all the other equipment we use in conjunction with the DVX. I know I am running out of room in my car now.

Yes sir and i'm sure DVX user will attest that Wilmington and Philly have some extremely narrow streets. I was looking at an Excursion and the Chevy Avalanche....but they are big vehicles and parking is already a nightmare. But I have a maxima now and this camera stuff has definitely changed the way it drives.

98 explorer.  its a lot more loaded now, as i've added gear - a 2nd light kit, HMI, rock n roller cart, and added a couple of other small mods.   pretty simple design and construction.  1/2" plywood and 2x2 cleats.  screwed together and covered with carpet from home depot - stapled on.

camera bag (cinebag) fits in lower left. tripod now fits in lower left section as well. bigger portabrace LP4, rocknroller cart, fanny pack and a few odds n ends fight in the lower right. across the top is now: small (4 pro-light) kit, audio/video adapter and IFB kit (pelican), joker 200 HMI (pelican), 1650 pelican, portabrace run bag....tripod tube (extra stands and 4x4 scrim jim) lays across top, rear shelf (left to right).

thinking about adding a sliding shelf for the camera bag on the lower left....we'll see.
