Cartoons & Music

I was just doing some cartoon work and listening to music and I thought, I wonder what cartoons and music the other people on the forum like?

If you don't like cartoons, say "I don't like cartoons". I assume no-one doesn't like music.

My favourite cartoons are, Space Ghost C2C, Dr Katz, Family Guy & Futurama.
I like alot of different music. Lately I've been listening to The Cure alot. But I like alot of Thrash/Speed Metal and GWAR as well as some oldschool and hardcore punk. Also Rod Stewart's "Young Turks" is really good (GTA: SA turned me onto it).

Family Guy

Korn/Ramones/Smashing Pumpkins/SlipKnot/Nine Inch Nails

Funny GWAR story: I live in NC/USA and GWAR played once and did some really funky stuff on stage (sexual in nature, I will not detail here) and were "banned" statewide (you can't really do that officially but the word was that if a club booked them they would have ALE and other law enforcement hassling them). Anyway, when they play here now they call themselves "RAWG". I've heard they've had to do that in other places as well.

The Simpsons, Futurama, Dr. Katz, King of the Hill

I like a variety of music, depending on mood. If I have a lady friend over then the playlist changes to something a little more primal. "Oooh yea baby, turn them lights down low ...and click play on Winamp for me." :)

Ed, Edd and Eddie, Dexters Lab, SpongeBob

And music is a more difficult one to answer. I like Dandy Warhols, Joe Satriani, They Might Be Giants, John Mayer, Sinatra, Billie Holliday, BB King, and Eminem. It just depends on my medication. heh!

Bugs Bunny, Mighty Mouse, Family guy, Thunder Cats, Transformer, He-man and She Ra, Garfield, Inspector Gadget, Voltron, GIJoe and Jem and the Hollograms.

I like all types of music.

when I'm alone: Kenny G and the Backstreet boys
When I'm driving: Ice cube with some Ice Tea
When I'm dancing: Anything with the word booty in it. I get freak nasty sometimes.
When I'm depressed: The Temtations.
When I'm in love: Metallica
When I get dumped by the girl I just fell in love with: Beat It, Michael Jackson
When I see a UFO: Back that thang up- Juvenille
When I'm in the shower: Timelife, best of the 80's

Haha, yeah I've read about that. On their newest CD 'War Party' there's a film clip for Womb with a View and it's all live footage with the actual recorded song over it. Very cool. Lots of gore and mayhem.

A story of my own, when I posted this no one replied while I was online. Last night I dreamt that today no-one had posted still and I deleted the thread. Thanks guys for proving my dream wrong! :)

Cartoons: Family Guy, Futurama, Simpsons (up until around 1999), Aqua Teen Hungerforce.

Music: Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, 311, Rage Against the Machine, probably a bunch more I'm forgetting...
Oh, and this isn't music, but I listen to comedy CDs such as Dane Cook.

Dane Cook is awesome. You should check out the cartoon Hell On Earth, he does a voice in it. You can watch it at www.thefrown.com (excellent site too) and it's really cool.

"That tire just hit that woman, in the, in the face!"

I will add that I like South Park too, but forgot to add it to my first post. I didn't put Simpsons because I guess like you Rezzie, it's really gone downhill.

Thanks for the link.
I completely forgot about South Park.
"Get back in the fiery water!"

latley family guy, akira, ghost in the shell, futurama, and teen titans (i love cartoon network)

d12, frank sinatra, nat king cole, platters, tupac, and movie soundtracks

South Park, Simpsons, Family Guy

Papa Roach, Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Iron Maiden, Tenacious D, Breaking Benjamin

Yeah, Tenacious D and Iron Maiden are awesome. My favourite Maiden songs are Holy Smoke and Tailgunner.

I just accidentally voted my own thread "terrible", i.e 1 star. Join in the fun! :)

I don't much care for the thread rating thing, it's hurtful....especially when you do it to yourself!

EDIT: I just noticed someone else did indeed join the fun. Can we make it 5 "terrible" ratings?
