Hello kind users,

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a CD that I could purchase with cartoon sound Effects. I am doing a video for children and would love to compliment it with Hannah-Barbara style, cheesy effects.

Any help is most appreciated. A search both on this site and google yields cd's loads of cd's, but none specific to cartoons.

Thanks a mill

Sound Ideas has a 4-CD library of vintage Hanna-Barbera effects (The Hanna-Barbera Sound FX Library), as well as an additional single-disc collection (The Hanna-Barbera Lost Treasures Sound FX Collection). I daresay this is exactly what you're looking for.

S.I. has four other cartoon-specific libraries. A quick search on SOUNDDOGS.COM shows plenty of cartoon effects. Hollywood Edge's Cartoon Trax I and II are also worth a look.

Holy price-shock batman!

$495 for the CD?! Wow, Maybe I will do some foley work myself, and buy a new mic instead :-)

Smuir, Thanks to your lead, I found a basic Hannah-Barb CD on ebay.

Cheers!

Double-check the legal copy on the license agreement. Some buy-out license agreements are not transferrable (ie. the license itself can not be re-sold to a third party).
