Cartoon effect

[Ismail]

Hi, this question may sound slightly stupid or even confusing. But would it be possible to render a video file into a cartoonish effect using a special plugin if available, so it would look like the cutout filter effect in photoshop?

I've heard this is possible if you export the video via picture, so you have 36 pictures per second and then reimport them? has anyone tried this? any suggestions if this is possible using final cut or any other program?

Thanks for taking the time to read my post

Peace out

Ismail

You need Studio Artist for sure! www.synthetik.com I use is all the time and love it. It's great! Getting animation out of real life footage, I do it in my sleep now.

Sorry reading the FCP forum as I will be getting it soon. But wouldnt it be eaiser to export from FCP as tiff files..... make an action and droplet in ps then drop them on it and reimport as a sequence? Does FCP have this option?
