Cartoni Focus HD Fluid Head

I have the Cartoni Focus HD Fluid Head.

It says that is it recommended for cameras that weigh 0-26lbs.
But, when I put my dslr camera on it, even at the lowest counterweight setting, there is still a lot of kickback.

If I want to tilt up/down all the way, the head will spring back. Maybe not to level, but definitely a few inches.

The only way I found to help with this a little is to increase the tilt drag a lot. It doesn't tilt back as much, but it still tilts. Sometimes a few mm or sometimes barely noticeable and its fine.
But, the problem is, tilting now becomes VERY heavy.

I'm using a T2i DSLR, and a 17-55mm 2.8 IS lens.
It says it should work on such small light cameras. But, I dont know what I should do...

How often do you actually tilt down all the way? If you need a locked position for that composition it seems like you could lower two of the legs and sandbag the other leg so the tripod is tilted over a bit.

Its not just when I go all the way.
I'm just saying that when I tilt all the way, its more of a dramatic kick back, of several inches of movement.

But, even if I do a normal tilt that isnt so far back/forward, it still moves a significant amount to notice it on screen. Its something that is noticeable on amateur videos and cheap tripods.
