Cartoni Focus 8 Opinions?

I'm looking for opinions on the Cartoni Focus 8 fluid head.
Can't seem to find a single review of it anywhere.
Since it says it will balance down to zero weight it seems like the ideal head for dslrs with mixed rigging.

Will be putting it on some Gitzo sticks with a bowl adapter. Other options in the same price bracket look like the Vinten Blue head or Miller Air but they don't have as wide a weight range as the Cartoni.
Thanks for any help!

While I have no experience with this head, it should be a good choice if you are only ever going to use light camera setups. If at some point you are going to start using larger cameras or long lenses, then a 100mm head would likely be a better choice.

All the best!

Thanks Dave. Judging by reviews of Cartoni's bigger heads it should be great quality - I've just never met anyone with any experience of Cartoni's 75mm heads.

Hmm. In the UK - it seems impossible to buy any of the Cartoni 75mm heads outside of a kit including tripod legs.
I'll keep looking into this and report back if I have any luck but right now the Vinten blue + a blue bridge to get the counterbalance weight down is looking like my best option.

EDIT
Spoke to Cartoni directly and have been informed that they don't sell either of their 75mm heads outside of a kit.

Did you end up buying the Focus 8 head or kit at all?

I'm looking at a new tripod and would like to go a step up from the Manfrotto 502 that I've had for about 5 years now. I'll be using it with a FS700, occasionally with a Shogun or Odyssey as well. Of the other worst-of-the-best tripods out there (ie: Sachtler Ace, Vinten Vision Blue) it seems to have the highest payload - in fact it is rated at slightly more than my 502 which has done fine with similar setups with long lenses, rails etc in the past, albeit a little crude.

I'd love to hear any first hand opinions about this kit!
