Wondering if anyone can give advice on this - thinking of buying a used Cartoni Beta fluid head with cartoni aluminum legs, mid level spreader. Also comes with soft-sided case. Asking price is $1000USD. I've seen and tested this out with my DVX, everything seems to be fine with it - it's in good shape.
I've tried searching for info on the head, but as it's discontinued, it's hard to come by. Also haven't come by any posts for used sales of these to gauge the pricing.
thanks

I'm looking for something capable of holding more weight - although I'm currently using my DVX100B on it, If I'm going to invest in sticks and a head, I'll get something capable of holding more so I can use it with 16mm, or bigger HD cameras.
The Beta is capable of 22lbs

Thanks.

DS20 handles 22 lbs. No experience with it myself but someone else was raving about it a while ago. Try a search and check out the comments.

The DS20 looks like a nice piece - a bit out of my price range for the full system, so I've decided to go with this Beta system. Worked the price down to $900, so I figured I couldn't really go wrong. It's in great shape, really nice smooth head.
Thanks for your help.
