Wow... well... I've only had bad experiences with my first car... a Chevy truck... I've had two imports since... a VW, and now Scion... both pretty reliable... My friend has a Land Rover... I heard they are like one of the most expensive vehicles to get parts for and repair... bummer!
I bought a '95 S-10 brand new. It flooded up to the steering wheel in '96, when I still lived in New Orleans. Warrenty fixed it and I NEVER had a bit of trouble up til I traded it in last year on a '01 Xterra. Fortunately I haven't had any trouble with it either.

Now if you are gonna fantasize about a car.... we might as well start at the top:

Well my actual car is a Land Rover Discovery.. an import, and I dont know if they fit in that catagory.. that thing breaks down more than anything I have owned and its so damn expensive to fix its painful.

I can see what you mean though.. i have spent so much money fixing that thing I will keep it 2x as long to get my moneys worth. :)

Man I feel you Jarred- I had a Disco for about 3 years and that thing was a money pit. Fun as anything to drive, and really nice, but I think I remember paying over $700 once to change out a fuel pump!

I dumped it and got a bmw 330i.
