Carry Speed VF4 Viewfinder Eyecup Problems + LCD Screen Dust

I just got my hands on the Carry Speed VF4 Viewfinder (http://www.amazon.com/Photography-Cinema-VF-4-LCD-Universal/dp/B00D2J4USO) and am loving it! However, 2 issues in particular have come up.

1. The huge eyecup is difficult to use. I have to push my face up against it hard to be able to view the screen in the center. Is there other options that you know of that would fit on this kind of viewfinder, or else fix this issue? It must be able to be used/changed to work with either eye.

2. Now that I have 3x magnification onto my LCD screen, all of the dust under the screen glass that I never noticed before has become quite the eyesore. Is this an easy clean? I have the t3i.

I also have this viewfinder, and the limited times I've used it I've found it to be useful. Maybe there is a padded eyecup available that may fit (check Arri products, I think there is a leather one available). In the old days, when we were shooting ENG outside in the heat of summer, we used a cut-off cotton sock (clean of course), rolling it inside out and fitting over the rubber cup..
