Carpel tunnel prevention-tablet recommendation needed

I've put off making the switch from a mouse based workflow for years now, but in the past year increasing pain in my upper forearm has me considering a switch before things get worse. Can any tablet users make a recommendation on the 'best' pressure sensitive tablet for use by editors on a mac?

I switch between a tablet and mouse depending on the specific task or what I feel like using more at a particular time. I can't really comment in regards to editing, but I have had several models of Wacom Intuos as well as a Bamboo that I use when mobile. All perform great and are well made. You could also consider a vertical mouse. I use an Evoluent 4 wireless right now and have owned a few of their previous models. I like the shape and it got rid of any pain I had. They are unfortunately kind of cheaply built for how high their price is.

Another switch you should try is using your other hand on the mouse. It's awkward at first, but doesn't take long to get used to it.
