Care of DVX in humid environment.

Hi all,

I got a brand new DVX100A two days ago in Hong Kong at a fantastic price (thanks to a post I found in this forum) and after reading pretty much posts in the forum, I am concerned about the care of the gear. I am an European expat living in Shanghai and the weather here is pretty humid in winter and summer.

This scares me a little bit. Mainly because my job is not videographer. Just my hobby, then for some relative long periods the cam will be stored. Please let me know measures to protect it. Does the rigid case (panasonic or pelikan) is quite good in terms of tightness ? have I to put some Silicagel bags inside ?

use a pelican case, it has a air valve that you can completely seal off the case from water so it should be safe. Just dont store it with tapes inside the camera and remove the battery.
