I've been using a Transcend USB 3.0 Cardreader for a couple of month with my Retina Macbook. It worked fine, until a few days ago the Macbook froze while copying files from a CF card and then didn't recognize the card no more. Luckily I could restore the majority of the files with a recovery software.
The next day, it happend again: different MacBook (Air 2012 with USB 3), different CF card, same Cardreader.
could restore most of the files again.
Since then I've been using my old USB 2 cardreader again, but as it is really slow compared to USB3, I wish I could get something faster, but still reliable.
Has anyone similar experiences with this cardreader?
Is there a better option with USB3 on a Mac?
