Carbon boompoles for under 400$

If you're talking about the Gitzo that's 12' 8" then good luck... they are already the best economy choice in that range... and having a built-in CC means a different bottom-cap, and usually a larger diameter end tube, which means longer sections overall... which means on just materials ALONE the price will be higher (even if Gitzo made what you're describing the price would be a lot more then the 12' 8" pole they have now).

Part of the reason the Gitzos are so cheap for that length is because the final "stick" that comes out... taking it from a 9' pole to a 12'+ pole... is just that, a "stick" versus a substantial "tube"... so even a straight XLR using thin starquad can barely fit through it.

You might be able to find a 9' pole to meet your request, but I don't think you're going to see something close to 13'... with an internal CC... in CF or graphite... for under $500... let alone $400.

I see used VDB's and Kteks on certain audio forums used for pretty cheap.

I got a KTek 17ft stage pole little over a year ago from a guy on a forum for $350 (it's a $900 dollar pole) mint cond.

I tried to buy a used 16ft vdb a couple months ago for $200 dollars but the guy
backed out at the last minute and sold it locally.

Point being, the deals are out there.
Just another avenue to look into.
