Does anyone know a DIY way to rig an hvx inside of a car looking out the front windshield?

I think the best inexpensive (~$150) solution would be to get a heavy duty magic arm, a tripod plate adapter, and a heavy duty vacuum suction cup with adapter from filmtools.

Mount the suction cup on the inside of the windsheild, attach the magic arm with the adapter and mount the camera at the other end via the tripod adapter plate.

An Arri magic arm will hold up to 10lbs pretty well, and a heavy duty vacuum cup from film tools will hold 70lbs.

Filmtools.com has a better one for the hvx that screws into the top handle screw mount for $89.00 I used it all season for tornado chasing with no problems.

I didn't even think about mounting it to the top handle- good thinking.

Does anyone know of an accessory to add to the DVX that would add a mount to its handle, so it could be used just like the HVX above?
