Car mount nc-2100

Kind of new here so forgive me if this is the wrong area to post. I was searching ebay and found the nc-2100 being advertised as a great car mount for the dvx-100a. I was just wondering if anyone had experience with this mount, and if it delivered as solid a picture as it claims. Thanks.

Here it is on EBAY:

Yes, I have it.  It works real good actually.  If you get if, I would recomend that you get a rotating head, because your a little limited as to how many angles you can achieve.  That is a real good price too, I paid like $187.  Dont worry about it falling off.  I used it out in the desert to get some on-board footage of my brothers sand rail.  It didn't budge one bit, and I got some real awesome footage.  Here's a pic of my setup:

I would recomend that you take extra precautions though.  I dont put my DVX on it, for the mount, I use my VX1000.  You just never know what'll happen.

Well, I don't plan to go offroading with the camera or anything. Really, I just want to be able to mount the camera on my hood and shoot backwards towards the driver and passenger. I am afraid that the camera will be too close and that the dvx lens will not go wide enough.

A rotating head? Is this an extra accessory you have to buy with it or something you rigged up? Thanks for your input.

Re: Car mount nc-2100

Depending on how far away you position it, you probably be able to pull away the two shot, or you might need to get a wide angle lens.
A rotating head is what goes on top of the plate where the camera normally mounts. If you are mounting your camera in a awkward area, you might need this to get the right angle. The company sells it, it does cost extra (I plan on getting it). If you look at the top right picture of the mount on the ebay link, the camera is using it.
