Car Mount in LA

I'm in need of a car mount to attach to the hood of a car and attach the HVX + an M2 looking into the windshield of a car. I thought I was going to be able to rent from Wooden Nickel, but the car mount is not an item that you can use the in-house insurance for and I don't have insurance at this time.

I'm wondering if anyone has a car mount or access to a grip guy who has one to rent. If so please let me know. Here's my email:

Don't know if you want to risk it but I used a CINE-MOUNT for both my features which are heavy with in car scenes...I shot with a SONY Z-! which is a sizeable camera...It is scary seeing it out there but it worked beautifully and you can buy them very cheaply... less than a rental if you need them for an extended time...I had a friend who actually rigged safety cables to one also...I hope this gives you an alternative...
