Car lightning from outside

Hi,

This is my first post here and i have a question. i want to light a car from outside with hmi lights. (to light the persons inside, not the car itself)

is there a possibility to use poly filters on the lamps to polarize the light in one direction and use a polarizer on the camera to choose the light from another?
(to get rid of the lamp reflections)

any ideas?

greetings and thanks,

robert

I'm not sure I understand the question fully.

If all you want to do is get rid of the reflection, just put a polarizer on your camera. Since most windshields are at an angle, you shouldn't see a large flare.

Robert, welcome aboard. :) Are you looking to polarize out all light except the HMI? If so, yes, polarize both the light and the camera, so you can match only those two. If not, just the camera. And like Imagen said, different lenses, like the stipple, coupled with a bit of silk, can really change the quality of the light.

thanks,

i will try lightning withoul polarizing the lamps but i will rent some polys for the lamps too.
hope it will work.
i just don´t want to see any reflextions of the lights on the window. for shure i will soften one or both of the lamps.

thanks!,

robert
