Car Interior at Night - Lighting Issues

Have a shoot coming up and will need to film actors inside a moving vehicle at night. Anyone see Collateral and knows a cheap way to produce enough diffuse light?

I was thinking of taking mini china lanterns and holding a flashlight in them...

any ideas/help appreciated!!

thanks

Another way of doing it is making a small fluorescent bank and hooking it up to a car inverter. In collateral, they had some special thin light pads that could be stuck to the car and moved around... I think they used velcro to stick it to the ceiling... but yeah, that's another way of doing it.

great ideas!

Hi John! Yea, havent been around for a while...

muse and dj, ill go get those port. fluoros, thanks

cool, thanks guys

LOL Gotta be quicker that around here!

Yes; in Collateral they used LCD lite panels. (Like the kind on Cell phones but custom made and bigger!) and they Velcroed (sp?) them on

Dude--when you borrow the car mount, I'll give you a small fluoro that plugs into the lighter socket. Just remind me.
