how many kelvin approx are car head lights. for example if you're shooting an indoor scene and you need very bright light streaming in the windows is it practical to use car head lights, will it be bright enough? sorry if this is a stupid question

there's no clear cut answer for that> as you may have noticed, while driving down the road at night, there are many different types of ehad lights. Older ones tend to be much less bright. Some newer ones are bluer like 5000 to 5600 range and of course with brights on they're brighter.

you rarely actually use a car for this effect, their beams are too wide at long wange and not powerful enough. and 1k or 2k fresnel can work depending on the distance and conditions.

if you don't have much money then buy some of those million candle power spotlights that are real cheap, like 30 bucks.
