car audio/interior commercial

I will be shooting a web commercial for a friends boss on friday. He is trading me a 8" nav deck for my car with install. How long of a video should this be? I only have a cheap stereo lav mic and the internal mic on my hvx200. Im thinking i should just use some kind of soundtrack and use text instead of voice. Im not sure how to attack this.

Make it a 30 or a 60. Have him give you a bullet list of all the things he wants mentioned. Write an ad. Have him approve it. Then record the voice over - and make sure it sounds good. Then after you have the audio done, go shoot shots to match what the script talks about.

Voiceover and B-roll baby. Easiest way to make an ad. Check you my "work" youtube in my signature. I do lots of ads that way.
