Car adapter for DVX?

Rocket Guy 2. Can you provide a link for that. I will be shooting in the woods and this may work to keep our batteries charged during the day.

never forget to bring spare fuses for the lighter circuit of the car. those things tend to blow pretty easily when used intensively for extended time.

I personally skipped the battery belts. This is what I have for portability (most likely unreasonable for many, but for the poor guy works great) :

1) I got a couple rechargable 12 volt batteries, mine used to be the batteries they use for the forklifts at the post office, but you can find similar ones at hobby shops or radio shacks or whatever.

2) I got a one car plug to two car plug adapter from radio shack, the type with cords leading from the male plug to each female socket, not the one that is all one piece. While you're there buy the connectors that fit your battery's leads. hopefully 16 - 12 guage.

3) I cut the car plug adapter male part off right at the wire so what I was left with was two female car sockets each with their own lead wires. Then strip the rubber off the ends and crimp on the connectors with pliers.

4) attach those connectors to the battery leads, making sure that your ground and hot leads match correctly.

That's it. for about 28 buck i have two half size car batteries that will charge or run my camera (charger available at www.beachcamera.com with car plug) and with a 25 dollar power inverter i can run some lights as well. the batteries last 17 hours each at full draw. At times I've had two bike baskets, one holding a battery off each of my wheelchair dollie's arms) at the same time, heated my coffee, run my audio mixer, charged my extra battery, run my camera when both batteries were dead, run my lights, and my monitor, and charged my cellphone, all in the same day. they're surprizingly lightweight, and spill proof if you get the right batteries. Also, with the right setup you can charge them off your car when you get back to it, or in your house, or whatever.

There's what i've got for portability, it works, but I sure wouldn't walk onto a Hollywood film set with it.... who am I kidding, yeah I would, but I'd try to make it look a little nicer first.
