So I'm relatively new to digital editing, and for reasons too long to explain, I only have access to imovie this week while I'm doing the capturing. All the actual editing will be done in final cut though.
My 30min dv was shot in 24p with anamorphic lens. Now my question is: If I'm capturing in imovie using full dv quality settings, will I be losing any quality compared to capturing in something else, like final cut? And if so, is there any way around this? Second, will quicktime output from imovie (.dv format) be fully compatible with final cut?
