This might be a stupid question but here goes. I have recorded stuff on a Canon XL1s on a Dv cassette of course. My firewire port on the XL1s fried and now I've got to capture my cassettes into VEGAS. I have a small consumer grade ZR 10 Canon. The question is; if I capture the cassettes recorded on the XL1s, using the ZR 10 to play back through the firewire port, will there be a loss in quality. Intuition tells me that this would not be the case because the data is simply digitally streamimg through the firewire port. However, is there something that I need to know that I do not.
