Capturing With Breaks

I want to break up the capture stream so that each timecode break is brought into FCP as a seperate clip. I know afterwards to use DV/Start-Stop Detect, but where is the checkbox to do it during the capture?

Final Cut Pro > User settings> Abort captuer when timecode brakes or something like that. If it is not there then it is in system settings

I will try this next time I capture, but I don't want the capture to stop, but I just want it to create different clips on import. I will try it anyway.

FCP hates timecode breaks. It is best to shoot without them and use start stop detection to automate the clip creation. I have found that time code breaks really f**k up auto sync in FCP. Just say no! Use the start stop detection.

Well if you uncheck the box. It will locate the time code brake. Cut out that frame or two and then start a new clip. But yes it is best to try and limit brakes.

Wow. I had no clue.

So this will allow continuous capture and all the while break up the clips according to start/stop of the cam? I love FCP.
