Capturing with a different camera...

Can we capture footage shoot 24p with the dvx100a with any mini dv camera??

Yes, the 24Pa footage is a 60i stream and it SHOULD play on any dv camera. Then again I've had problems playing Canon footage on Sony cameras, etc...so if using another manufacturers camera all bets are off.

But in theory, yes, shouldn't be a problem.
Just hook up your DV cam, set your capture settings to 24Pa and capture as you normally would.

Yeah the only camera that wont let you playback its footage in another camera is the Canon H1.

I use the Canon ZR100 as my "deck" for capturing and playback.
