capturing super 8 footage onto Final Cut HD

I am working on a project where I have super 8 footage (no audio) which was shot in 1976. I just had the footage converted onto mini DV. In Final Cut there are many presets for capturing footage. (Be patient I am new at this) To get the best look out of my film which preset should I use to capture this super 8mm footage? Or does it matter?

You should treat the footage as DV, as that is what it is now. Capture it using the Dv settings your transfer house used and you should be fine.

Yes, forget that it started out as Super 8 - to FCP, it is 60i MiniDV.
