hello, i am using vegas4.0e. i have tried all different combos for setting of project and capture, but i still see some frames are interlaced. some frames are blurred and it seems like it worked, but some frames are still interlaced.

i set my project for NTSC DV 24p (720x480, 23.976 fps)

allow pulldown removal when opening 24p dv is checked on

for the video capture window, under preferences->capture, ive set it to no custom frame rate, custom frame rate 24 and 29.

im not sure what im missing.

Check your captured file to see if pull down was actually applied. To do this go to the Vegas Explorer. Make sure that the Summary View is on (right most button on the Vegas Explorer tool bar, click the little down arrow). Then click on your captured file. At the bottom of the file list you will see the file attributes. Make sure that the fps is correct.

If it is not, then it is possible that the capture was started at a non-24p point on the tape. Vegas Capture will determine the fps from the first frames that it captures. Make sure that you start the capture after some 24p frames have been recorded.
