Capturing single frames in timeline

Hi,
Did a few searches and FCP manuals give me a headache so....
Anyone know an easy way to pull one frame of video onto the timeline and hold it for say like 3 seconds?
Basically I want it to look look like a still shot on the timeline. Like a scanned photo.
I am figuring this should be easy but I can't figure it out.

Line up the frame you want in the Timeline.

Click Modify then Make Freeze Frame then drag the new clip from the Viewer onto the Timeline. :thumbsup:
